User Testimonial from Jaime Morgan

Here is a Testimonial from FemCap user Jaime Morgan:

I am a physician who was looking for birth control methods other than hormones/oral contraceptive pills and condoms. Like many women, I did not tolerate the pill very well and felt that long term use of condoms in a committed relationship was impractical. I researched and found that there were not many non-hormone alternatives. I researched the copper IUD and decided against it due to side effects. I had heard of the prior generation using diaphragms, but they seemed so bulky and outdated. After searching for any and all alternatives, I luckily came across the website for the Femcap.

I was initially intrigued because I’d never heard of it. As I read more about it and  the rave reviews it received, I became more excited about this form of contraception. I called the founder of the FemCap and was warmly received. My FemCap was sent to me in no time flat.
I have to say I absolutely love it. It is so easy to use. It is very simple to insert and I don’t even know I’m wearing it- it’s that comfortable. It stays exactly in place and I don’t even notice it during intercourse.  One of the things I am most happy with is that I am the one in control of protecting my body. I simply insert it and know that I am covered. I also love that I am not needlessly taking added hormones, with possible side effects that need to be taken daily. With the FemCap, you simply insert and remove it when you are sexually active. It is surprisingly small and it is made of very soft, clear silicone and comes in a discrete carrying case. I recommend this especially to my patients in committed relationships who are looking for forms of contraception. I truly believe it is an amazing invention!

I am a licensed midwife with a birth center in Miami, Florida. Part of the care we give women is educating them on the various birth control methods. Hormonal birth control methods and the IUD at times don’t prevent conception, but prevent pregnancy by not allowing the fertilized egg to implant in the uterus. They also cause a myriad of side effects, which women who use them are subjected to. I was not comfortable promoting any of these methods, but I have always covered all methods. When I was introduced to the cervical cap I was very excited. We called FemCap and were sent a set of all sizes with videos and lots of information. We had a client try it out for us. She was delighted. She said it took her 3-4 times to learn how to put it in. She is a marathan runner and said when she ran she couldn’t tell it was in. She had intercourse and didn’t tell her husband she had it in until after. He could not feel it.
We care for a lot of orthodox Jewish women and so we had someone take the femcap and literature to a rabbi and he approved it for use with orthodox Jewish women. We have been offering the FemCap to our clients for several years now and have had no compliants. I am very excited and happy to be able to offer the Femcap as an excellant alternative to hormones or the IUD. It is also very cost effective. Thank you FeCcap for making this available to women in the United States.

I am happily married woman 42 years old. my husband and ci have a very active sex life , doing it at least 3 times a week. 3 years ago after so many bad side effects from b.c. pills weight gain, mood changes, lossof libido, spotting during my cycle and some I decided to get fitted with a cfemcap. my gynecologist fitted me with a #22 because both of mt children were by C-section. my husband and I both love using the femcap, he cant feel it and we have 2 of them. one in my night stand and one in my husbands. he can put it inside of me just as I can. in my 3 years of using it we have not had many problems from it. the only thing sometimes in the morning I will douche in the shower to keep myself from leaking so much. I plan on using the femcap until I go through menopause.
